Founded in 1994, the Deggendorf Institute of Technology (DIT) is a modern, multi-award-winning and excellently equipped university offering approxi-mately 65 accredited undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses (in German and English), including part-time programmes for professionals, certificates and dual study options. We provide our 7000 students, of which 20 percent are international students, with the necessary qualifications for taking over advanced tasks in their future jobs. The DIT is proud to offer at its teaching campuses in Deggendorf and the European Campus in Pfarrkirchen a very personal atmosphere. Study groups rarely include more than 50 students to ensure individual support and excellent qualifications.
The Deggendorf Institute of Technology campus stands next to the scenic river Danube and is a stone’s throw away from Deggendorf’s town centre. Deggendorf is an affluent, lively, multicultural and diverse town located in Bavaria, southern Germany and is only an hour drive away from the bustling city of Munich. Its inhabitants enjoy an outstandingly low unemployment rate and the widespread public transport links including a nearby international airport. The rolling hills that encompass the landscape create a picturesque background to enjoy the plethora of recreational activities at one’s fingertips.
