Why Munich?

The economic capital of Germany is ranked fourth globally for quality of living and is home to a kaleidoscope of contrasts – from rococo opera halls to cutting-edge skyscrapers. Alongside old buildings, narrow streets and lively open-air beer gardens, you will find state-of-the-art architecture and vibrant nightlife. Coined as the center of “laptops and lederhosen”, business is also vital to the city’s identity. From programs to help startup companies with logistics to a welcoming community of multinationals, the city actively promotes the presence of business, commerce and innovation.

Students need about €800 to €860 monthly for their living expenses.

Experiential Learning

EU organizes regular activities that give students an insight into real-world business practice outside the classroom. Seminars, presentations and trips complement the academic theory that students examine in class, offering hands-on experiences that bring business to life.

Company Visits

Students are taken to visit selected national and international companies like BMW, Nestlé and UEFA among others, where they observe how theoretical concepts can be applied to real business situations. Coursework relevant to the visit is assigned and requires students to present oral and written reports.

Guest Speakers

EU invites important worldwide leaders, such as the former Secretary-General of the UN Kofi Annan, the CEO of the Montreux Jazz Festival Mathieu Jaton, the former President of the Swiss Confederation Adolf Ogi, and the Chairman of Nestlé Paul Bulcke, to give conferences at EU. These sessions stimulate students’ curiosity, deliver detailed information on modern business practices and offer practical, informed opinions on current events.

Study Tours

During one- or two-week trips, students visit selected corporations, commercial hubs, government and trade organizations around the world, where they observe a variety of industries and meet with senior management. They discover new cultures and professional practices. These trips are followed up with project reports based on the experience.

International Conferences

EU regularly brings innovative and thought-provoking conferences to its students. On October 26 and 27, in collaboration with the International Association of Public Transport (UITP), EU Business School (EU) held a conference on electric mobility in Munich. Leading industry experts, authorities and academics came together at this highly successful conference. 100 participants actively debated the future and challenges of the electric mobility industry in roundtable sessions, keynote speaker presentations and speed chats throughout an illuminating, two-day event.

EU Business School graduation
EU Business School party
The reason I went to EU was because of its small class sizes and it was all international students. There were many students from the Middle East, from Asia, South America, and I think that having that wide-range of backgrounds is something that I later found extremely helpful when working in an international environment.
Marie-Francine Richard
Technology Consulting Manager, Accenture (UK) Limited
At EU, I found intellectually stimulating discussions, international colleagues, networking opportunities and relevant courses that bridge business theory and practice. After my MBA, I felt I could immediately apply the knowledge and skills I had acquired to my work.
Gerard McKeogh
Global Sales Leader, General Electric
The entrepreneurial environment at EU is fantastic. A lot of the lecturers actually own their own businesses, so when they give you assignments, you really feel the need to do it as if it were real life.
Rochelle Peetoom

We established a great working culture and will remain in touch for many years to come.
